GENERAL REFERENCES
Peddling and soliciting — See Ch. 182.
Each jewelry, precious metals and gem dealer in the Township
shall require of each person offering an item for sale to produce
photo identification with a current address and to sign a receipt
for the item.
All precious metals and gems which are purchased or traded for
shall be kept separate by transaction and shall be held for no less
than 10 days.
Each dealer shall maintain records for each transaction, which
shall contain a description of the item purchased, any identifying
numbers, a copy of the signed receipt, and copy of the photo identification
with current address of the purchaser. These records shall be available
for inspection by the Division of Police within 24 hours of the purchase.
