No person shall kindle, maintain or authorize any bonfire, rubbish fire, or fire to burn any garbage, other organic refuse, or grass and leaves outside of any building at any time within the boundaries of Fire District No. 1 of the Town of Elmira.
This prohibition shall not apply to an outdoor fire if such fire is contained within a cooking grill or a burning device commonly known as a "chimenea" or similar device located outdoors and the fuel supply for the fire within the grill or chimenea is propane, natural gas, charcoal or untreated wood.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall, for each and every such violation, be guilty of an offense and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $50.
