All parks located in the Village of Wales, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, shall have posted the following rules and regulations, which rules and regulations are hereby adopted by the Village of Wales and shall govern the use of the Village parks:
A. 
Individual conduct.
(1) 
No activities by any person or organization for which a charge is made without permission and permit issued by the Village.
(2) 
No willful disfigurement of buildings or equipment.
(3) 
All persons will use the rest rooms designated for that person's sex.
(4) 
No littering in any form.
(5) 
No picnicking or meals are permitted in areas other than those designated.
(6) 
No person or organization will be permitted exclusive use of any area(s) or building(s) without permission and permit the issued by the Village.
(7) 
No consumption of beer or alcoholic beverages without permission and permit issued by the Village.
(8) 
No hawking, merchandising or selling of any articles without prior permission and permit issued by the Village.
(9) 
No placing or posting of signs, placards or advertisements without review by the Plan Commission and approval by the Village Board.
(10) 
No hunting, fishing or swimming.
(11) 
No fires allowed in the parks other than grilling in specified areas.
(12) 
No loitering in the parks after being asked to leave by a Village representative.
(13) 
No glass bottles or glass containers permitted in park.
(14) 
No skateboards, bicycles or other items which may damage surface allowed on basketball court, shelters and/or equipment.
(15) 
The owner, keeper or person having custody or physical possession of an animal in the parks shall remove and properly dispose of any excrement deposited by such animal immediately after the animal has relieved itself.
(16) 
The owner, keeper or person having custody or physical possession of an animal in the parks shall keep the animal on a twelve-foot or shorter leash and under control as to not endanger other people.
(17) 
No golf balls in any parks. Disc golf permitted only in Wales Community Park.
B. 
Vehicles.
(1) 
Rate of speed limited to 10 miles per hour.
(2) 
No parking of vehicles in other than designated areas.
(3) 
No operation of motorized vehicles in other than designated areas and roadways except Village-authorized vehicles.
(4) 
No spinning of tires or throwing of gravel by vehicles in park roadways or parking lots.
C. 
Closing hours. Parks open at sunup and close at sundown unless prior written approval of the Village Park Commission for later use is granted. There shall be no overnight parking or camping in the Village parks.[1]

The provisions of §§ 943.01 through 943.05, Wis. Stats., exclusive of penalties thereof, are hereby adopted and made a part of this chapter by reference.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall be subject to the general penalty provisions of § 1-4 of this Code. A citation may be issued pursuant to § 1-4 with a fine amount as set forth in the schedule of deposits and a restitution amount charged if necessary.
