An annual fire tax is hereby established for the purpose of purchasing fire and rescue apparatus.
The millage for said fire tax is hereby set at three mills, or $3 per $1,000 assessed value.
The funds collected pursuant to this fire tax shall be held by the Township Treasurer in a separate interest-bearing account and shall be used only for the purchase of firefighting and rescue apparatus, which is purchased after the date of this article.
At least semiannually, an accounting of the funds, held by the Township Treasurer, shall be made to Bethel Township Hose Company No. 1.
Funds shall be released only by a vote of Township Supervisors pursuant to a request from Bethel Township Hose Company No. 1 for funds to purchase firefighting or rescue apparatus.
