When a letter is received commending the work or action of a
Township employee on duty, it shall first be referred to the Mayor
and Council, who may endorse thereon or attach thereto suitable comments.
The letter shall then be returned to the Township Clerk and placed
in the employee's personnel history file.
The personnel record of each employee of the Township shall
be reviewed and evaluated each year prior to the preparation of the
annual budget. The purpose of such review shall be to provide the
employee's supervisor or department head an opportunity to discuss
with the employee improvement and progress made during the year and
any weak points or remaining deficiencies in training or performance.
The annual review also will provide a written record of development
and accomplishment which shall be made part of the employee's personnel
history file and shall be used in considering the employee for salary
increase or promotion.
