It is the declared intent of this article to give direction
to the Town Treasurer to receive and disburse Town money. Further,
it is the declared intent that this policy shall in full force and
effect upon adoption by the Town Board with the purpose of complying
with § 60.34, Wis. Stats.
This article is adopted pursuant to the authority granted to
Town Boards under § 66.0607(3), Wis. Stats., to allow the
use of facsimile signature on all checks written by the Town Treasurer.
The use of a facsimile signature does not relieve any official from
any liability to which the official is otherwise subject, including
the unauthorized use of the facsimile signature.
