The Chief of the Police Department and the Chief of the Fire
Department or, during their absence, the officer in charge of either
Department be and hereby is authorized to go to another city, town
or district for the purpose of aiding its police and fire departments
with police vehicles and/or fire apparatus with personnel, and while
in the performance of their duties in extending such aid, the members
of each Department shall have the same immunities and privileges as
if performing the same within the City of Gardner.
