The standards and provisions of this Article III apply to the zoning districts and Zoning Map of this chapter.
For the purpose of this chapter, the Township is hereby divided into the following eight zoning districts:
Residential District R-1 (See Article IV of this chapter relating to Residential District R-1 regulations)
Residential District R-2 (See Article V of this chapter relating to Residential District R-2 regulations)
Residential District R-3 (See Article VI of this chapter relating to Residential District R-3 regulations)
Local Commercial District (LC) (See Article VII of this chapter relating to Local Commercial District LC regulations)
General Commercial District (GC) (See Article VIII of this chapter relating to General Commercial District GC regulations)
Industrial District (I) (See Article IX of this chapter relating to Industrial District I regulations)
Floodplain District (FP) (See Article X of this chapter relating to Floodplain District FP regulations)
Campus/Open Space District (S) (See Article XI of this chapter relating to Campus/Open Space District S regulations)
The boundaries of the zoning districts shall be as shown on the Official Zoning Map of Lancaster Township, which is on file in the Township Office.[1] Said map and all notations, references, and data shown thereon are hereby incorporated by reference into this chapter and shall be as much a part of this chapter as if all were fully described herein.

The boundaries between zoning districts are, unless otherwise indicated, either the center lines of public streets or other rights-of-way, or existing lot lines. Should any uncertainty exist, the Zoning Hearing Board shall interpret the intent of this chapter and map as to the exact location of zoning district boundaries.
