The name of the agency described in this division is the Rappahannock
Area Agency on Aging, which exists under the authority of Code of
Virginia, § 2.2-700 et seq.

The purposes and duties for which the Rappahannock Area Agency
on Aging has been established are:
A. Those set forth in Code of Virginia, § 2.2-700 et seq.
B. The administration of an office dealing with the problems of aging
under the rules and regulations of PL 89-73 or any law amendatory
or supplemental thereto of the Congress of the United States, and
the employment, medical, educational, recreational, and housing facilities
available to them, with the view of determining the needs and problems
of such persons and finding and implementing solutions.

The Directors and Advisory Board members of the Rappahannock
Area Agency on Aging shall be appointed by the City Council and composed
of five City residents, whose terms of office shall be for four years
each.
