This article shall be entitled "A Local Law Regulating Parking Within the Town of North East."
No vehicle shall be parked, left standing or otherwise permitted to remain on any public street, road or highway within the Town of North East from November 1 through April 15 of each year. This provision shall not apply to the parking of any fire apparatus, ambulances, police, or any other emergency vehicles, or to any vehicle operated by a physician while on professional call, or to public streets, roads or highways within the Village of Millerton.
Violations of any provision of this article shall be deemed to be a traffic violations and subject to such fines as are prescribed in § 1800 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
The Town of North East Highway Superintendent, the members of the Village of Millerton Police Department, the members of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Department, and the members of the New York State Police shall have the power to issue parking tickets, summonses and/or appearance tickets for violations of this article and shall have general enforcement powers with respect to the same.
