Within any R-M District, no building, structure, lot or land shall be used for other than one or more of the following uses:
A. 
Single-family dwelling.
B. 
Two-family dwelling.
C. 
Multiple dwelling according to Article XVI.
D. 
Church or other place of worship, Sunday school, parish house.
E. 
Public park or playground.

Within any R-M District, the following accessory uses shall be permitted:
A. 
Private garage or private parking area.
B. 
Customary accessory structures and uses.
C. 
Signs, pursuant to Article XX.
D. 
Home professional office.
E. 
Home occupation.
F. 
Noncommercial swimming pool, with yard requirements as set forth in § 444-6.
Within any R-M District, no building or structure shall be erected nor any lot or land area utilized unless in conformity with the following schedule, which is hereby declared to be a part of this chapter:

A. 
Every single-family, two-family or three-family dwelling structure shall have a floor area of not less than 600 square feet for each dwelling unit therein; provided, however, that no single-family dwelling structure shall have a floor area of less than 1,050 square feet.
B. 
All one-bedroom dwelling units shall have a livable minimum floor area of 700 square feet exclusive of porches, staircases, basements, breezeways, balconies and attached garages. Two-bedroom dwelling units shall have a minimum floor area of 900 square feet.
Within any R-M District, the following conditional uses shall be permitted pending approval of the Belvidere Planning Board:
A. 
Public or private school approved by the New Jersey State Department of Education.
B. 
Professional office in a residential building, as defined in "home professional office" in § 505-2B.
C. 
Boarding- or lodging house.
D. 
Museum, art gallery, community center building, public library.
E. 
Public utility building or structure.
F. 
Essential services.
Within the R-M District, the minimum lot area for multiple-dwelling apartments shall be 3,000 square feet per one-bedroom apartment. For a two-bedroom apartment, 3,630 square feet is required, and for a three-bedroom apartment, 4,840 square feet is required. No more than 10% of the apartment units shall be three-bedroom apartments.[1]
