A.
Appointment. The person appointed as Chief of Police, of
and for Velda City, shall be not less than thirty-five (35) years
of age, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the State
of Missouri for not less than one (1) year.
B.
Qualifications.
1.
He/she shall have completed a Law Enforcement Officer training course
conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, State Highway Patrol,
Police Academy, or an accredited college course for Police Officers
with a minimum of six hundred (600) hours of instruction, as set forth
by the laws of the State of Missouri.
2.
He/she shall have had not less than five (5) years of road experience
as a regular Police Officer in the State of Missouri.
3.
He/she shall have had not less than two (2) years administrative
Police Department experience with respect to assignments, duty schedules,
records and reports.
