The Board of Selectmen may order the closure of any public way or part thereof in the Town, except a state highway, parkway or boulevard, to vehicular traffic for such period of time as the Board may determine. The Board shall obtain written approval from the Chief of the Police Department, the Chief of the Fire Rescue Department and the Director of Public Works and the order shall have due regard in every instance for rights of abutting owners and the general public in the use of such way or part thereof.
