Every operator of a vehicle approaching an intersection at which an official traffic control device is erected in accordance with this chapter shall obey the direction of such official traffic control device as required by the Wisconsin Statutes incorporated by reference in §
271-1 of this chapter. Operators of vehicles approaching a stop sign shall stop before entering a highway as required by § 346.46, Wis. Stats. Operators approaching intersections at which a yield sign has been installed shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles as required by § 346.18(6), Wis. Stats.

A. The Town
Board of the Town of Lowell, Dodge County, Wisconsin, has specific
authority under § 349.11, Wis. Stats., to adopt this section.
B. This section,
adopted by a majority of the Town Board on a roll call vote with a
quorum present and voting and proper notice having been given, provides
for the reduction of the speed limits on certain Town highways in
the Town as follows:
(1) Pursuant
to § 349.11, Wis. Stats., effective October 12, 2017, speed
limits on certain Town of Lowell Town highways are reduced or modified
as follows: The Town road known as "W. O'Sixteen Road," located between
State Highways 16 and 60, and Columbus Road, Village of Lowell, are
reduced to 45 miles per hour.
(2) Pursuant
to § 349.11(5), Wis. Stats., the Town Chairperson, or his
designee, shall place appropriate traffic signs at the above-described
locations on or before the effective date of this section.
(3) No
person may operate any vehicle on the above-noted Town highways in
violation of the above-noted speed limits. Any violation shall be
subject to penalties under § 346.60, Wis. Stats.
C. This section
is effective on October 12, 2017. The Town Clerk shall properly post/publish
this section as required under § 60.80, Wis. Stats.
