The Township Manager, Engineer or Road Department Supervisor may erect or cause to be erected barricades, signs, signals or other approved warning or protective devices, and they may post flagmen for the protection of the public or of workmen or the work itself during the construction, reconstruction, maintenance or repair of any Township road or bridge, whether such work is done by Township employees or by persons or corporations under contract with the Township.

The operator of any vehicle who breeches any barricade or disobeys the instructions of any sign, signal or flagman shall be guilty of a violation of this article and, upon conviction before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment thereof, shall undergo imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
