Article I Temporary Heaters on Construction Sites

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
- CONSTRUCTION SITE
- Any location on which a building of any type, residential, commercial industrial, etc., is being built, renovated, modified or otherwise changed, designed or redesigned.
- LIQUID-FUELED PORTABLE OR TEMPORARY HEATER
- Shall include but not be limited to torpedo furnaces, salamander furnaces, salamanders and any other flame-producing heater.
It shall be unlawful for any person, party, company or entity to use a liquid-fueled portable or temporary heater inside any building on construction sites within the Township of Maplewood.
Subject to approval of the Maplewood Fire Department, electric-powered or temporary heaters may be used inside any building on construction sites within the Township of Maplewood.
Each separate liquid-fueled portable or temporary heater in use shall be considered a separate violation.
