As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
TRANSIENT MERCHANT
Any person, firm or corporation, whether as owner, agent,
consignee or employee, who sells commodities from private premises
and remains at one place for that purpose for temporary periods of
time, generally not more than six weeks.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, whether
as owner, agent, consignee or employee, to engage in, carry on or
conduct the business of a transient merchant without first obtaining
a license to do so.
The license fee for engaging in, carrying on or conducting business
as a transient merchant shall be the sum of $100 per day payable in
advance for each day such business shall continue for a period of
not more than six weeks and with a monetary cap of $200 for said period.

Only one transient merchant permit shall be issued to any person,
firm or corporation in any one calendar year.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this
article shall be fined not less than $5 nor more than $500 for each
offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each
day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
The within article shall be enforced by the Construction Code
Official or his designee, as the case may be.
