[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Florida 12-11-2019 by L.L. No. 1-2020. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Term of Mayor shall be four years.
The term of the office of Trustee shall be four years.
The term of the Village Clerk shall expire on April 6, 2020,
and thereafter shall run concurrently with the term of Mayor.
The term of the Village Treasurer shall expire on April 6, 2020,
and thereafter shall run concurrently with the term of Mayor.
Trustees shall be elected biennially in odd-numbered years.
Pursuant to the terms of Village Law § 3-302, the
Trustees and Mayor shall be elected as follows:
A.
In the election to be held in 2020, two Trustees and the Mayor shall
run for terms of three years.
B.
In the election to be held in 2021, two Trustees shall run for terms
of four years.
C.
There shall be no election in 2022.
D.
In the election to be held in 2023, two Trustees and Mayor shall
run for terms of four years.
