The following fees are fixed and established for certain services extended and materials distributed by the Police Department. These fees are found in Chapter
30, Schedule N of these Revised General Ordinances.
Nothing contained herein shall be construed to obligate the
City to permit the copying of reports and/or documents which are the
subject of an ongoing criminal investigation or are otherwise deemed
confidential under law.

The viewing or reviewing of reports and photographs of accident
scenes shall be permitted at police headquarters daily, Monday through
Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

No search fee shall be charged if a report or photograph is
not on file with the Police Department, nor for any report or photograph
for which a formal request is made by any local, County, State or
Federal law enforcement agency or by the Federal postal authorities.

The Police Department shall issue a receipt for all fees and
monies received for the services extended or materials furnished as
hereinabove provided. All monies received shall be turned over to
the Treasurer.

As a result of the increased activity in the area surrounding the City of Atlantic City due to the passage of Casino gaming, it has become necessary to aid in the process of applications for prospective employees of the Casino facilities now established or to be established in the City of Atlantic City. As a result thereof, the City of Ocean City hereby establishes a charge as established in Chapter
30, Schedule N, of these Revised General Ordinances for the processing of the initial casino applications. Any renewal applications that requires processing in the City of Ocean City shall have a charge fixed to it in the amount of five ($5) dollars.

The City of Ocean City hereinafter authorizes the assistance
in the processing of applications to be made available solely and
only to residents of the City of Ocean City as an accommodation to
them and in no way by limitation to this section intends to process
applications for those other than Ocean City residents.

The City shall hereafter impose a fee as established in Chapter
30, Schedule I, of these Revised General Ordinances against individuals who issue a check to the City of Ocean City, which check is subsequently dishonored by the individual's bank for insufficient funds or any other cause. The appropriate City Officials are authorized to take all steps necessary to effectuate this section.

Any person applying for representation by the Ocean City Municipal
Public Defender shall pay an application fee to the Ocean City Municipal
Court in an amount of fifty ($50) dollars. The Municipal Court may
waive, in whole or part, this required application fee, if the Municipal
Court Judge determines, in his or her discretion, that the application
fee represents an unreasonable burden on the person seeking representation.
