Employees may resign in good standing by giving the Commissioner
in charge of their department, or their department head, at least
14 days' written notice. If an employee resigns without submitting
the required notice, he or she shall be held as having resigned not
in good standing.
Any employee who is absent from duty for five or more consecutive
workdays without just cause or an approved leave of absence shall
be considered to have abandoned his or her position and shall be held
as having resigned not in good standing.
Any employee who has not returned to duty for five or more consecutive
workdays following an approved leave of absence shall be considered
to have abandoned his or her position and shall be held as having
resigned not in good standing.
