No person or entity shall permit their motor vehicle to park or otherwise remain unattended in the locations and manners set forth below in the Borough of Narberth.
A. 
Any person or entity who permits their motor vehicle to park or otherwise remain unattended in the following locations or manner shall receive a parking citation in the amount of $20:
(1) 
In front of any portion of a public or private driveway or otherwise blocking any section of such driveway;
(2) 
Within any portion of a loading or unloading zone or otherwise blocking such zone, unless so authorized to park for the purposes of loading or unloading.
B. 
Any person or entity who permits their motor vehicle to park or otherwise remain unattended in the following locations or in the following manner shall receive a parking citation in the amount of $25:
(1) 
Upon any curb or sidewalk;
(2) 
Within any portion of an intersection;
(3) 
On any portion of a marked crosswalk;
(4) 
Alongside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when stopping, standing or parking would obstruct traffic;
(5) 
Where parking is prohibited between signs;
(6) 
In a manner where the parked vehicle is facing oncoming traffic in the immediately adjacent lane;
(7) 
At any place where official signs prohibit parking or stopping.

Within 30 feet of a stop sign.

C. 
Any person or entity who permits their motor vehicle to park or otherwise remain unattended in front of a fire hydrant or blocking access to the fire hydrant from the street shall receive a parking citation in the amount of $50.
D. 
Any person or entity who permits their motor vehicle to park or otherwise remain unattended in the following locations or in the following manner shall receive a parking citation in the amount of $30:
(1) 
In any portion of a fire lane, blocking a fire lane, or in any areas marked as prohibited by the Fire Marshal;
(2) 
At any place where official signs prohibit parking from a certain location to the corner.
E. 
Any person or entity who permits their motor vehicle to park or otherwise remain unattended in a handicapped parking space, unless the person has been issued a plate or placard to permit such parking and is displaying such plate or placard, shall receive a parking citation in the amount of $60.
F. 
It shall not be a violation of the Article to park a motor vehicle in a manner otherwise prohibited herein if such parking is directed by a police officer or an official traffic-control device, or if parked for the purpose of temporary loading or unloading persons or property at authorized times and locations.
A. 
Any person or entity violating the provisions of this article, or aiding, abetting or assisting in the violation of this article, shall receive a parking citation in the amounts set forth above. Each day that the violation occurs shall be considered a separate offense. Each police officer or the parking controller shall place on a vehicle in violation of this article a notice to the owner thereof that such vehicle has been parked in violation of the provisions of this article and instructing such owner as to provisions for payment of such violation or penalties for failure to pay such violation. Each such owner may, within 10 days of when such notice was attached to such vehicle, pay the citation amount at the Borough office or in a designated payment box, as provided on the parking citation, as a penalty for and in full satisfaction of such violation.
B. 
The failure of a vehicle owner to make payment as designated on the parking citation within the ten-day period shall render such owner subject to additional court costs and fees associated with the filing and prosecution of the violation. After such ten-day period, such owner shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine in the amounts set forth above for each offense, and all costs related thereto, to be collected as fines and penalties, are now by law collectible. Each day that the violation occurs shall be considered a separate offense.
C. 
Nothing in this article shall prohibit the enforcement of any parking violations under the Pennsylvania Traffic Code or prohibit additional methods of enforcement, including towing of a vehicle.
