A. 
There shall be a Bloomfield Cultural Preservation Advisory Committee.
B. 
The Committee shall consist of five residents of the Township, each of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor and shall having full member voting rights, and one Township Council liaison who shall be a nonvoting member. The Director of Cultural Preservation shall serve as an ex officio member and shall not have voting rights.
C. 
Terms shall be staggered; two members shall be appointed for terms of one year, one member shall be appointed for terms of two years, and two members shall be appointed for terms of three years. The Council liaison shall be appointed to a term of one year.
D. 
Upon the expiration of a Committee member's initial term under this section, the Mayor shall either reappoint that Committee member or appoint his/her replacement for a term of either one, two, or three years. No member shall serve on the Committee longer than six consecutive years.
E. 
Vacancies shall be filled by the Mayor only for the unexpired term.
F. 
The Committee shall meet at least quarterly.
G. 
The members of this Committee shall not receive compensation for their services.
The Committee will advise the Director, as well as Mayor and Council, regarding the strategic direction and policies for the Township of Bloomfield's cultural assets, including but not limited to Oakeside Mansion and Collins House. The Committee will be advisory in capacity and will not be responsible for budget, operations, programming, or fund-raising, but may consult with Township staff and officials as needed and/or requested.
