Editor's Note: This local law was subject to a permissive referendum and was approved by a majority of the qualified electors at the general election held 11-7-2000.
The term of office of the elective Highway Superintendent of the Town of Yorktown shall be four years. Such four-year term shall commence on the first day of January following the first biennial town election after the effective date of this article.
At the biennial town election next following the effective date of this article and every four years thereafter, the Highway Superintendent shall be elected for a term of four years.
