As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BIN
An accessory structure for housing solid waste containers and/or carts.
CURBSIDE
The junction where the property line and the Town's street right-of-way meet.
GARBAGE
Any food waste consisting of animal, fruit or vegetable matter, liquid or otherwise. Also any material used in the preparation, use, cooking, dealing in or storing of meat, fish, fruit or vegetables.
RECYCLABLE MATERIALS
Those materials defined by the Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA) or as defined by a company chosen by the Town Council. Those materials shall include, by way of illustration but not by way of limitation, glass, plastic, and metal containers; newspapers; cardboard and junk mail.
SOLID WASTE
Garbage, trash, yard waste, and recyclable materials.
TRASH
Waste material and refuse of every character except garbage, recyclable materials, and yard waste.
YARD WASTE
Yard waste consists of grass clippings, leaves, tree limbs, and shrubbery (no soil or food products).
