From and after the enactment of this article, it shall be unlawful for any person or persons, association, partnership or corporation to place or attach or cause to be placed or attached any posters, signs, cards or advertising matter whatsoever upon poles or elsewhere within the rights-of-way of the streets, roads and public ways of the Township of Shaler; provided, however, that such prohibition shall not apply to any posters or signs placed which are erected by or required to be erected by any governmental body.

Any person, firm, corporation or group of individuals found in violation of this article shall, upon conviction thereof before any issuing authority, be subject to a fine of up to $600 and may be sentenced to a period of incarceration not exceeding 90 days in the Allegheny County Jail. Each incident in violation of this article shall be considered a separate offense and may be punishable as such.
