Smoking or carrying of a lighted pipe, cigarette, cigar or tobacco, in any form, is prohibited:
A. 
In any public school building in the Township of Shaler, except as provided in § 185-2 of this chapter; and
B. 
On any bus specifically operated for the purpose of transporting public school pupils.
The Fire Marshal, with the assistance of the building principal, shall designate specific, safe locations in any public school buildings in which smoking may be permitted.
The Fire Marshal is authorized to order posting of "No Smoking" signs in or on locations described in § 185-1 of this chapter. The content, lettering, size, color and location of said signs shall be subject to the approval of the Fire Marshal.

A person found to be in violation of § 185-1 of this chapter shall be subject to pay a fine not to exceed $600, plus the cost of summary proceedings, the same to be collected in the name of the Township of Shaler.
