Fire apparatus shall require staffing of no less than two firefighters and one officer per fire apparatus, or no more than three firefighters and one officer, at the discretion of the Director of Public Safety or his designee. Inspection and investigation units will require staffing of no less than one Inspector/Investigator, or a maximum of two Inspector(s)/Investigator(s) and an officer, at the discretion of the Director of Public Safety or his designee. Ambulance units will require staffing of no less than two EMTs, or a maximum of two EMTs and an officer, at the discretion of the Director of Public Safety or his designee. Whenever three or more of any type fire or EMS units are to be used in coordination, a chief officer will be required to accompany the assignment.
A. 
The fees set forth in this article shall be charged for use of services outside of the normal scope of duties of the Fire Division, including but not limited to, fire watch standbys requested by a member of the public or business, cleanups, and other duties specifically requested by the public or required by the public to be performed by the Fire Division, or upon determination that the use of the Fire Division resources was required due to deliberant negligent or willful criminal conduct. B. 
In the event that a request is made for a service or services outside of the normal scope of duties in the Fire Department, the person, company, or owner shall be charged for said request in accordance with the fees set forth below.
C. 
If upon investigation it is determined that an incident was caused by deliberant negligent or willful criminal conduct of an individual or a group of individuals, the responsible person(s) will be responsible for all Township apparatus and personnel costs associated with the response and/or incident.
D. 
Fees. The fees shall be as set forth in Chapter 71 of the Code of the Township of Medford.
