Provisions for uses by special permit are included
herein to permit the establishment of areas in which diverse uses
may be brought together in a unified plan of development. Under special
permits, buildings and land may be used for any lawful purposes as
determined by this chapter and the Village Planning Board subject
to the following limitations and procedures:
A. The procedures contained in Article
XII, Site Plan Review, shall be followed.
B. The Village Planning Board may then issue a special
permit along with reasonable conditions on the use, but such action
shall have the effect only of granting permission for development
of the specific proposal in accordance with the specifications, plans
and elevations submitted and approved.
(1) No changes in the project as shown on the plans approved
shall be permitted without following the same procedure as originally
required.
(2) If the project is abandoned, the land and structures
may only be used for any other lawful purpose permissible within the
district.
