Town of Riga, NY Penalties for Offenses

Any person found to be violating any provisions of this Part 1, except Article VI, shall be served by the town or its agent, the Superintendent, with written notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limit for the satisfactory correction thereof. The offender shall, within the period of time stated in such notice, permanently cease all violations.

§ 72-41 Penalties.

Any person who shall continue any violation beyond the time limit provided for in Article VIII, § 72-40, shall be guilty of a violation and, on conviction thereof, shall be fined in the amount not exceeding $250 for each violation. Each day in which any violation shall continue shall be deemed a separate offense.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this Part 1 shall become liable to the town and/or the Village of Churchville for any expense, loss or damage occasioned the Town of Riga or the Village of Churchville by reason of such violation.
