Pursuant to Section 3-8(10) of the Charter of the Town of Johnston, the Town Council hereby creates a committee to be known as the “Johnston Citizen's Advisory Committee.” The members of this Committee are to be appointed by the Mayor.
The Citizen's Advisory Committee shall comply with the federal guidelines put forth in the HUD regulations and its intent shall be to provide the Town with citizen input regarding projects involving federal funding. The Committee shall also provide the Mayor with citizen input regarding other pertinent information concerning the needs of the citizens of the Town.
The members appointed by the Mayor shall be accountable to the Mayor. The Citizen's Advisory Committee shall adopt its own bylaws in accordance with the federal guidelines set forth in the HUD regulations.
