Pursuant to Section 16-3(1)(a) of the Johnston Town Charter, the following position, upon the recommendation of the Personnel Board, is created within the classified service:
A.
The position of Traffic Clerk is hereby created within
the Police Department.
B.
The individual appointed to said position shall perform
under the direction and control of the Chief of Police or his designee.
C.
The individual appointed to said position shall possess the prerequisites, qualifications and experience as recommended by the Personnel Board pursuant to the authority granted under Section 16-3(1)(a) of the Town Charter.
D.
The individual appointed to said position shall receive
any and all benefits established under any collective bargaining agreement
applicable to said position.
E.
The salary established for the position of Traffic
Clerk shall be that salary established for the position of Clerk I
as established in the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
