Every room or place in the City of Hagerstown
used or occupied for the exercise or engaging in games of pool or
billiards to which the public has access and which charges are made
for the privilege of engaging therein shall be conducted at all times
in an orderly and decent manner. It shall be unlawful for the proprietor
or person(s) in charge of the same to permit any disorderly conduct
by any person or persons on, in or about the premises where such games
are conducted.
All places as aforesaid used or occupied for
the purpose of engaging in the games of pool or billiards to which
the public shall have access and which charges are made for the privilege
of engaging therein shall be kept closed as a place of business from
the hours of 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. of each night in the week and
it shall be unlawful for any said place or places to be kept open
during the hours above mentioned.
Any person, persons, firm or corporation who
shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject
to a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $500 and/or imprisonment
for not more than 30 days in the county jail.
