Registration shall be held on any day during normal business hours of the Town, except 30 days preceding any Town election, at the Town Hall. In addition to registration at the Town Hall, any person who has his or her domicile within the Town may register to vote in Town elections by registering to vote in Charles County elections, in keeping with the registration policies of the Charles County Board of Elections, provided that such registration must reflect that the registrant has a residential address within the incorporated limits of the Town on voting registration records with Charles County more than 30 days prior to the date of the Town election.

The Town Council shall designate the Town Clerk and the Deputy Clerk as being charged with registering voters for the Town of Indian Head in behalf of the Board of Supervisors of Elections.
The Board of Supervisors of Elections shall give at least two weeks' notice of every election day by an advertisement published in at least one newspaper of general circulation in the Town and by posting a notice thereof in some public place or places in the Town.
A. 
The record of registration of voters eligible to vote in Town elections due to their registration in Charles County shall be kept in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Charles County Board of Elections.

B. 
The registration of voters directly with the Town shall be conducted on cards. When such cards have been duly filled out and both the original and duplicate registration forms have been signed by the applicant for registration and the registrars, the original and duplicate form shall be filed in different filing cases or binders.
C. 
The original forms filed in alphabetical order for the Indian Head precinct by the Charles County Board of Elections shall be the primary Indian Head register. The supplemental registrations by the Town for those eligible but not registered with the county shall be arranged in alphabetical order and shall be considered part of the Indian Head registry.

D. 
At the option of the Charles County Board of Elections and Town of Indian Head Board of Supervisors of Elections, the register for use in the polling place on election days may consist of an alphabetical compilation or list of registered voters electronically reproduced through data processing, containing the same voter registration information as is contained on the original registration forms signed by the voters.

E. 
The registration records shall be open to public inspection under reasonable regulations at all times on election days and also when the Board of Supervisors of Elections is open for the registration of voters, except upon special order of the Board. The registration records shall not be removed from the Board of Supervisors of Elections except on the order of the court.
F. 
The registration records of the county shall be compared with that of the Town. Any duplications will be stricken from the Town supplemental register and retained on the county register.
The applicant shall be required to answer in the presence of the registrars all questions required on the registration form.
At the end of each registration session, the original and duplicate registration forms shall be compared, verified and confirmed. If any person is found to have registered more than once, the additional registration forms shall be canceled.
Whenever, in the opinion of any Board of Supervisors of Elections, forms can no longer be used, the information contained thereon shall be transcribed on new forms under the supervision and direction of the Board. The Board shall retain all old registration books or forms which have been transcribed onto new forms under this section for a period of at least 10 years before the books or old forms may be destroyed.
A. 
Removal of names from the Indian Head register shall be governed by the Election Law Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

B. 
No one who is not registered as a qualified voter of the Town of Indian Head shall be entitled to vote or to receive a ballot, but no vote shall be rejected because of an error in the spelling of a voter's name or because of a wrongful omission because of an error in the number of his residence on the register, provided that a majority of the Board of Supervisors of Elections is satisfied that the person offering to vote is the identical person who is registered and that he intended to register his true name and address.
