The Town Board of the Town of Crawford is hereby authorized to designate
as the official paper of the Town any newspaper having general circulation
within the Town, whether or not such paper is regularly published in the Town.
Whenever the Town Board shall have designated a weekly
newspaper rather than a daily newspaper as the official paper of the Town,
the Town Board may, upon a finding of necessity or convenience and in order
to provide a period of notification mandated or required by law, designate
a daily newspaper of general circulation as an alternative official paper
of the Town. Timely publication in such alternate paper together with reasonable
notice in the regular official paper, if feasible, shall constitute proper
notice in accordance with law.
This chapter shall supersede, in its application to the Town of Crawford,
any inconsistent provisions in the Town Law or any special law of the state
and with particularity and not in limitation shall supersede the provisions
of Town Law § 64, Subdivision 11.
