§ 209-1 License required; application.

Every person, firm or corporation, except those exempted by statute, desiring to sell, peddle, deliver or distribute milk in the Borough of Netcong, shall first make application to the Mayor and Council for a license to do so, setting forth the name and address of the applicant, the days and hours of the day when sales and deliveries will be made, the number of cars, wagons or vehicles which will be used and such other information as the Mayor and Council shall from time to time require. Said application shall be accompanied by the fee as hereinafter provided.

§ 209-2 Expiration and renewal of license.

All licenses granted hereunder shall state the name of the person, firm or corporation licensed, and shall expire on the first day of January next after the granting of the same, and all such licenses, at the discretion of the Mayor and Council, may be renewed annually, subject to the same conditions, provisions and charges as imposed upon and for the original license. The license shall be signed by the Mayor, attested by the Clerk and the Borough Seal affixed.

§ 209-3 Inspection of equipment; rules and regulations.

The Mayor and Council of the Borough, by its agents, shall have the right to make all reasonable and necessary inspection of the equipment of the licensee, and provide such rules and regulations as may be necessary to see that the milk is handled in a sanitary manner.

§ 209-4 Suspension or revocation of license.

Every license granted under the provisions of this chapter may be suspended or revoked by the Mayor and Council on satisfactory cause therefor appearing to it for so doing, and during the suspension or after such license shall be revoked, said license shall be and become inoperative and of no effect.

§ 209-5 License fees.

The fee for said license, which is hereby imposed for regulation, shall be as follows: for the privilege of using one car, wagon or vehicle only, the sum of $10; for each additional car, wagon or vehicle, the sum of $1; for the retail sale of milk from stores or markets, the sum of $5.

§ 209-6 Violations and penalties.

Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to such penalties as are provided for in Article I of Chapter 1 of the Code of the Borough of Netcong.
