The repairing of vehicles, motor or otherwise,
within the boundaries of the public streets of the Borough of Crafton
shall be, and the same is hereby, forbidden.
In the event any such vehicle, while travelling
over, along and upon any public street in the Borough of Crafton,
should for any mechanical reason cease to function in such manner
as to permit its continuing movement, then and in that event the operator
thereof, or his servant, agent or employee, may make such temporary
repairs to such vehicle as are required to permit its continuance
of movement over said public street; provided, however, that in the
case of making such temporary repairs, no vehicle shall be permitted
to remain on a public street in the Borough of Crafton for a period
in excess of two hours. Upon the expiration of said two-hour grace
period the operator of said vehicle must cause said vehicle to be
removed from said public street immediately.
Any person violating any of the provisions of
this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a
fine of not more than $600, plus costs of prosecution, and, in the
event of nonpayment of such fine and costs of prosecution, to undergo
a term of imprisonment to the extent permitted by law for the punishment
of summary offenses.
