A. 
All pedestrians crossing roadways in the Township of Abington are required to obey traffic and pedestrian control signals.
B. 
No pedestrian shall suddenly leave the curb or other place of safety and walk or run into the path of a vehicle which is close enough to be a hazard.
C. 
Pedestrians crossing the roadway at other than a crosswalk at any intersection or any other marked crosswalk shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles in the roadway.
D. 
Where there are adjacent intersections with crosswalks and traffic control devices in operation, a pedestrian shall not cross at any place other than a marked crosswalk.
E. 
No pedestrian shall cross an intersection diagonally unless authorized to do so by a police officer or other authorized person to direct, control or regulate traffic.
The officers of the Abington Township Police Department, who shall observe a pedestrian violate any provision of § 156-73, shall be and hereby are authorized to issue a ticket to such pedestrian, requiring the payment of a fine of $20 within five days of the issuance of the ticket.
