The Borough of Dormont hereby authorizes and approves joinder
and inclusion of the Borough of Green Tree as a constituent community
of the Medical Rescue Team South Authority, Inc., with all rights,
duties, privileges, obligations and appurtenances with and among the
other constituent communities, including the Township of Baldwin,
the Borough of Castle Shannon, the Borough of Dormont, the Municipality
of Mt. Lebanon and the Borough of Whitehall, pursuant to the provisions
of the Pennsylvania Municipality Authorities Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 5601
et seq., as amended; the Pennsylvania Borough Code, 8 Pa.C.S.A. § 101
et seq., as amended; the Pennsylvania First Class Township Code, 53
P.S. § 55101 et seq., as amended; and the Pennsylvania Home
Rule Charter and Optional Plans Law, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 2901
et seq., as amended.
The constituency and composition of the governing Board of Directors
of the Medical Rescue Team South Authority, Inc., will be increased
from its present number of 10 members to a new number of 12 members,
with each constituent municipality appointing two members of said
Board of Directors, pursuant to the provisions of the Articles of
Incorporation and bylaws of the Authority.
The appropriate officials of the Borough of Dormont, including
but not limited to the Borough Council President, the Borough Manager,
the Borough Mayor and the Borough Solicitor, are authorized to sign
and execute all documents and to take all other actions deemed necessary,
proper or expedient to effectuate the purposes of this article.
This article will become effective upon the occurrence of all
of the following circumstances:
A.
The adoption and approval of ordinances similar to this article having
the same operative provisions therein by all of the other constituent
communities of the Authority and by the Borough of Green Tree.
B.
The compliance of the Authority constituent communities and of the
Borough of Green Tree with all of the requirements of the laws, regulations
and rules of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania relating to Green Tree's joinder in the Authority, including,
but not limited to, the provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipality
Authorities Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 5601 et seq., as amended,
including, in particular, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 5604, and the provisions
of those Pennsylvania statutes and laws regulating, respectively,
each of the constituent boroughs, township and home rule communities.

C.
Full and complete compliance of the Borough of Green Tree with all
of the provisions of this Authority's Resolution No. 98-06, including
but not limited to the provision of Paragraphs 6(a) and 6(b), inclusive,
of said Resolution No. 98-06, as amended.
D.
The enactment and adoption of this article by the Dormont Borough
Council and the approval of this article by the Dormont Mayor.
