A. The
City of Tipton, Missouri, will not discriminate against any employee
or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex,
national origin, physical handicap or age.
B. The
City of Tipton will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants
for employment are employed, and that employees are treated during
employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, national
origin, physical handicap or age. Such action shall include, but not
be limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, demotion or transfer;
recruiter recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates of
pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training, including
apprenticeship. They will post in conspicuous places, available to
employees and applicants for employment, notices to be provided by
the Government setting forth the provisions of the non-discrimination
clause. The City will state that all qualified applicants will receive
consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion,
sex, national origin, physical handicap or age.
C. The
City of Tipton will not permit its agents, contractors or subcontractors
to discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because
of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, physical handicap
or age.

A. The
City of Tipton believes in the inherent worth of each individual and
right of every qualified individual to expect fair and equal treatment
both as applicants for employment and as employees.
B. It
is the policy of the City of Tipton to accord equal consideration
and impartial treatment regardless of race, color, national origin,
age, handicap, sex, religion, or sexual orientation. This policy will
prevail in all matters concerning the staff, the public, and the programs
and services of City of Tipton.
C. The
Mayor of the City of Tipton will act as the City's nondiscrimination
compliance and grievance officer, and will cause a copy of this policy
to be posted in a conspicuous place, and ensure that all employees
are provided with a copy.
