A. 
The City Marshall and all regular Police Officers of the City of Tipton, Missouri, shall wear an approved Police Uniform while on duty.
B. 
The City Marshall and Police Officers are deemed to be on duty during their regular shift.
C. 
Auxiliary Police Officers shall while on duty wear forms of identifying clothing as may be designated by the Board of Alderpersons by resolution from time to time.

A. 
As used in this Article, the following terms mean:
COMMISSION
When not obviously referring to the POST commission, means a grant of authority to act as a Peace Officer.
DIRECTOR
The Director of the Missouri Department of Public Safety or his or her designated agent or representative.
PEACE OFFICER
A Law Enforcement Officer of the State or any political subdivision of the State with the power of arrest for a violation of the criminal code or declared or deemed to be a Peace Officer by State Statutes.
POST COMMISSION
The Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission.
RESERVE PEACE OFFICER
A Peace Officer who regularly works less than thirty (30) hours per week.
B. 
No person shall hold a commission as a Police Officer within the City of Tipton, Missouri, without a valid Peace Officer license, except a Reserve Officer which is continually holding the same commission since August 15, 1988, and except for any person continually holding a commission as a full-time officer since December 31, 1978. See Section 590.010, RSMo., 2000.
C. 
No license shall be required to run for the elected office of City Marshal of the City of Tipton, Missouri, but a license will be required before a commission shall be issued by the City of Tipton, Missouri, to an unlicensed person who is elected to such office.
D. 
The license required hereby and the minimum standards to acquire such license shall be established by the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission of the State of Missouri.
