An Affordable Housing Advisory Board is created to make recommendations
to the Town Board with respect to the administration of the Affordable
Housing Trust and Agency Fund in accordance with rules and regulations
recommended by the Advisory Board and approved by the Town Board.

The Town Board shall appoint Members to the Affordable Housing
Advisory Board, including the Board's Chairman. No Member of the Board
shall be an employee of the Town or of the Huntington Community Development
Agency. The Board shall be comprised of eleven (11) voting Members
who shall serve without compensation. Each Town Board Member shall
appoint one (1) individual whose term of office shall coincide with
that of the sponsoring Town Board Member, except that the Town Supervisor
shall appoint two (2) such Members. The Town Board shall select five
(5) persons from among the member organizations of the Huntington
Township Housing Coalition whose term of office shall be staggered
as follows: one (1) individual to serve for a one-year term; two (2)
individuals to serve for a two-year term; and two (2) individuals
to serve for a three-year term. Thereafter, each Member appointed
shall serve for a term of three (3) years. In addition to the voting
Members, the Director of the Huntington Community Development Agency
or their designee; the Director of Planning and Environment or their
designee; and the Town Attorney or their designee shall serve as ex-officio,
nonvoting members of the Board.
