The following words shall have their prescribed meanings in
this Chapter:
CODE OFFICIAL
The Building Inspector or other person charged with interpreting
the Wright City Nuisance Code and other codes and inspecting premises,
buildings and structures in the City of Wright City, Missouri, pursuant
to the Nuisance Code and other ordinances of the City.
HEARING OFFICER
The Hearing Officer presiding over all hearings related to
nuisances shall be the City Administrator of the City of Wright City,
or his or her designee.

A. No person shall cause or maintain any nuisance, as defined by the
laws of this State, or this Code, or cause or maintain any such nuisance
within the City. No person shall fail or refuse to abate or remove
a nuisance within the time required as set forth in this Code.
B. It is unlawful and a violation of this Chapter for any owner, lessee
or occupant or any agent, servant, representative, or employee of
any such owner, lessee or occupant having control of any occupied
land or any part thereof in the City of Wright City, Missouri, or
within one-half (1/2) mile of the corporate limits of the City of
Wright City, Missouri, to cause, permit, or maintain a nuisance on
any such lot or land.
C. Both the maintenance and failure to abate a nuisance is a violation of this Chapter
215. Additionally, it is unlawful and a violation of this Chapter for any person or his/her agent, servant, representative, or employee to cause or maintain a nuisance on the land or property of another with or without permission. Each day that a nuisance shall be maintained is a separate offense.
