Games of chance, commonly known as "raffles,"
as provided by N.J.S.A. 5:8-50 et seq., may be conducted in the Township
of Hanover on the first day of the week, commonly known as "Sunday."
provided that the applicant for the license to conduct such games
is otherwise qualified under the provisions of the appropriate statute
of the State of New Jersey and under the rules and regulations of
the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission, and provided further
that the organization specifically qualifies under the appropriate
laws of the State of New Jersey and that said raffle is conducted
in connection with a social event, but not a carnival as said term
is commonly defined.
