There is hereby created the position of Public
Works Repairer for the Township of Little Egg Harbor.
A.
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Public Works,
the Public Works Repairer performs routine work involved in the construction,
maintenance and repair of streets, sewers, water, sanitation, and
other public facilities, and may be required to operate, check, service
and make minor repairs to trucks and other maintenance/construction
equipment. The Public Works Repairer shall also perform other related
work as required.
B.
In order to be appointed to the position of Public
Works Repairer, an individual shall possess the following:
(1)
One year of experience in the construction, maintenance,
and repair of streets, sewers, water, sanitation, or other public
works facilities, or similar heavy construction or maintenance work.
(2)
A driver's license valid in New Jersey, only if the
operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary
to perform essential duties of the position.
(3)
Appointees may be required to possess a valid commercial
driver's license (CDL) and applicable endorsements for the class and
type of vehicle being operated.
