Investigate and report to the Mayor and Council on
the availability of funds from any private or public sources to be
used in the borough's recycling efforts.
Upon the approval or at the direction of the Mayor
and Council, apply for funds from any private or public sources to
be used in the borough's anti-littering or recycling efforts.
Compile, prepare and submit recycling tonnage reports
to the New Jersey Office of Recycling in accordance with rules and
regulations adopted by the Department of Environmental Protection
therefor and to the Bergen County Utilities Authority.
Prepare a monthly registration form and semiannual
recycling collection forms for use by the owners, lessees and/or occupants
of all premises not receiving municipal sanitation services in the
borough and compile and maintain said forms.
Receive and handle complaints and inquiries from the
public respecting the recycling efforts and report thereon to the
Director of the Department of Solid Waste Management.
The Recycling Coordinator shall be appointed by the
Mayor subject to the advice and consent of the Council to serve for
a one-year term expiring on December 31 of the year of appointment
or until the appointment and qualification of a successor.
