It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, upon obtaining a license as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, to conduct games of chance within the Town of Copake, subject to the provisions of this local law, Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.
The conduct of games of chance on Sunday is only permitted when it is specifically provided for in the license issued. No games of chance, however, shall be conducted on Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur.
The chief law enforcement officer of the County of Columbia shall exercise control over and supervision of all games of chance.
Pursuant to General Municipal Law § 190, Subdivision 3, certain repeat authorized organizations may submit summary applications.
