Any builder, developer, contractor or other person, firm or corporation that desires to connect his/her sewer system to the present sewer distribution system, or any addition or extension thereof, of the Borough may be permitted to do so upon the following terms and conditions:
A. 
All mains, connections, manholes and other appurtenances shall be installed at the cost and expense of such person making the installation.
B. 
Locations, grades and specifications will be furnished by the Engineer and must be approved by him/her prior to use.
C. 
Upon the completion of such installation and connection, all mains, connections, manholes and appurtenances shall become the sole and exclusive property of the Borough.

Any person desiring to connect to the sewer system of the Borough for the purpose of using sewer service shall first pay to the Borough the sum of $1,500 for each unit located in the building which is to be connected. For example, a single-family house connection shall be $1,500. A multifamily dwelling shall be $1,500 times the total number of units in the building or buildings making up the property. In the case of nonresidential connections, the person desiring to connect shall pay $1,500 for each 2,500 square feet, or fraction thereof, of the building or buildings in question. Such connection charge shall apply in all instances, including connections made by a developer or builder who installs the sewer mains as provided elsewhere in the Fanwood Borough Code.
