As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
MINE
Includes strip-mine, deep-mine, slope-mine, drift-mine and any and all other methods of removing such minerals from the ground.
No person, firm or corporation shall mine coal or any other mineral at any place within the City of Greensburg.
Any person, firm or corporation who or which shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than six hundred dollars ($600.) or to imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days, or to both such fine and imprisonment. The imposition of one (1) penalty for any violation shall not excuse the violation or permit it to continue; a separate offense shall be committed on each day that prohibited mining operations are conducted.
