Each Supervisor of Lower Makefield Township, elected or appointed to office so that his or her term begins on or after January 1, 1998, shall receive compensation as a Supervisor in the annual amount of $4,375. The amount of compensation shall be payable at such times as shall be directed by the Board of Supervisors, from time to time, but the annual compensation shall not exceed $4,375. The provisions of prior ordinances, to the extent that they are inconsistent with the provisions of this article, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
No Supervisor of Lower Makefield Township shall receive any additional compensation other than that permitted by law, and no Supervisor shall be compensated in addition hereto for attendance at any meetings. This limitation shall not apply to the reimbursement of any expenses incurred by any Supervisor in furtherance of his or her official duties.
