There is hereby created the position of Director of Swim Pool Utility in the Township of Cranford.
A. 
The Director of Swim Pool Utility shall be responsible to the Township Committee through the Township Administrator for the operation and administration of the Swim Pool Utility.
B. 
The Director of Swim Pool Utility shall be responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the indoor and outdoor pools and field house; planning, organizing and carrying out all promotional activities for developing the public's interest in the aquatics program; planning, organizing and supervising an extensive community-wide program of swimming and related activities for recreation and water safety at the indoor-outdoor facilities; the fiscal management of the Swim Pool Utility; suitable assignments and instructions to subordinate employees; making recommendations to the Township Administrator and the Township Committee concerning disciplinary matters, promotions and appointments of employees in the Utility; answering inquiries of a technical nature relating to both the operation and finances of the Utility; the budget preparation and control of coordinating financial activities of the Utility; and such other matters as may be assigned from time to time.[1]

The Director of the Swim Pool Utility shall be appointed by the majority vote of the Township Committee and shall serve at the pleasure of the Township Committee.
The Director of Swim Pool Utility shall receive such salary as shall be provided from time to time by the Township Committee by ordinance.
